In Maple and Monsoon, Meera journeys from India to Canada, seeking freedom while grappling with love and loss. Her story reminds us that healing often begins with a single, quiet breath—and a deep desire to search within our souls. Introducing Maple and Monsoon: A Tale of Love, Loss and Redemption

Hello, dear readers,

I’m thrilled to share a glimpse of my upcoming novella, Maple and Monsoon, a story that’s been close to my heart for a long time. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Toronto’s autumn, this tale weaves together the threads of love, loss, diaspora, and redemption through the eyes of Meera—a young woman torn between her Indian heritage and her new life in Canada.

Inspired by diverse tapestry of Toronto and the stories of countless persons navigating the complexities of identity, Maple and Monsoon explores what it means to find freedom while honoring your roots. Meera’s journey is one of emotional fracture and healing, sparked by an unexpected connection with Jacob, a skeptic carrying his own haunted past, and shadowed by a history that refuses to stay behind.

The title reflects the duality at the heart of the story: “Maple” for the Canadian autumn that grounds Meera’s new beginning, and “Monsoon” for the emotional storms of her Indian past. Writing this novella has been a deeply passionate journey, one I hope will resonate with anyone who’s ever felt caught between two worlds—or longed for a second chance at love.

I can’t wait for you to meet Meera and walk with her through Toronto’s maple-strewn streets. Maple and Monsoon will be available soon on Amazon Kindle, but you can get a taste of her story now. Sign up below for an exclusive first chapter excerpt and be the first to know when the novella releases!
